Konig K-Summit Chain Clearance Specifications and Details

The Konig K-Summit tire chain requires a minimum of 0 mm of clearance on the inside sidewall of the tire. While other obstructions may be present, the critical clearance area on most vehicles is the inside sidewall of the tire. This is where the tire comes closest to suspension components like springs, shocks, and struts, as well as brake lines. If you are unsure if your vehicle has the 0 mm of clearance to accommodate this chain, be sure to check your vehicle's owner's manual for more information. If you are still unsure, chat or email with one of our winter traction experts today for help.

Had to use them for just over 40 miles on Hyw. Conditions were snowing on packed snow. Did not exceed 30 mph. Any faster and rear of front wheel drive tended to slide.

The best chain I ever owned, it takes me only 3 minutes to install on hard weather conditions, 5 minutes to take them off because one but got a bit tide after 4 days on snow conditions but still amazing the time we saved. I_m buying one more for our other vehicle.

The number of links to take off per tire size was way off and the removal tools that came with it were crap. Once my dad and I were able to get the links off though, they only took a minute or two to put on and off and worked extremely well.

I had previously used Spike Spiders on my Legacy Subaru. I got 2018 RAV4 Toyota and the Spiders wouldn_t fit so I decided to give these a try. I am completely satisfied with them. Much easier to put on and take off and no need to install a mounting plate for the season. I would recommend them to others. The only thing that is severely lacking is the initial setup instructions. I had to call customer service twice to get them figured out. That suc... read more...

I have used a wide variety of snow chains for more than 30 years. I highly recommend these chains. This is my second set because the first set was for a different vehicle. They are ideal for low profile luxury cars with zero clearance. Before I discovered these Thule chains I used the Spikes-Spider brand. The Spikes-Spider requires about an our of prep to install the hubs prior to the winter season. The Thule's offer easy & fast installation & re... read more...
