Description

On wet roads or dry, in heat or cold, through light snow or driving rain, the last thing drivers want to worry about is the performance of their tires. With that in mind, Sumitomo created the HTR A/S P01, the optimal combination of high performance and all-season capabilities for driving confidence when it really counts. The HTR A/S P01 is the ideal direct replacement for original equipment tires on many of today’s most popular performance oriented vehicles.

Five-rib directional pattern is optimally arranged for quick and direct steering response.

Four wide grooves evacuate water from the center footprint to enhance wet performance.

Multiple directional grooves and sipes give more edges to optimize grip on wet and snow-covered roads.

A zigzag groove wall improves lateral stability and traction in addition to ensuring water drainage.

In tie-bar sipes control shoulder block stiffness and water drainage.

The Sumitomo's have been good tires overall, my biggest gripe is that the front tires shake from being out of balance, lousy work performed by tech or maybe not. Handling on the 205-60/15's is good though not stellar, comfort and road noise is very good. FWIW these tires are NOT made in Japan but rather Taiwan : (

These tires have met or exceeded all of my expectations, and the price is great. Treadwear is really the only department where I haven't been overly pleased. However, my last set of tires were Michelin Hydroedge with a 90k mile treadwear warranty, and I only got 32k out of them before the wear bars. I anticipate these will go to 20k miles, and be a heck of a lot cheaper. The traction in both wet and dry conditions is very consistent and pre... read more...
